短刀
令6-2(美濃國) 兼常　室町後期　特別保存鑑定書付　長さ37.4cm
(Mino no Kuni) Kanetsune (AC 1500~) “Tokubetsu Hozon”

兼常は末古刀(室町後期)上作、業物として大変優れた作品を残した末関期の良工です。
本刀は平造りで身幅がやや広く、杢目鍛えの地鉄に、互の目乱れ刃紋です。
匂口中の小沸は切先までびっしりつき、所々砂流しが見られます。
見栄えのある拵えには時代刀装具がついてあります。

Sword forged by “Kanetsune” towards the end of the Muromachi period (AC 1500~).
Kanetsune (兼常) left behind extremely fine pieces of swords.
His works are considered as
"Jyosaku"(上作): High quality,
"Wazamono"(業物): excellent sharpness.
Observing this blade you will be able to notice its peculiarities:
"Mokume.kitae","ko.nie","Suna.nagashi", etc.
Nbthk “Tokubetsu Hozon” certification.
Beautiful koshirae with antique finishes nice to display.
